Planning the journey

It is now only 6 weeks before we embark on our journey on the Transiberian Railway. So far the planning of it has been exciting, but time consuming. We decided to book all our travel ourselves with the help of books and websites. We are hoping to make this blog available to other people who want to embark on a similar journey and to our friends and family so they can join us on our tour. So far all our flights and accommodation have been booked. We have visas for China and Mongolia, but we are still waiting for the Russian Visa. I did expect the Russian Visa to take the longest, but I am getting a bit anxious that our passports will be returned saying "declined"! Not sure what we would do if this happens! Keep your fingers crossed that it will turn up!
